i heart macro - the earwig nibbled dahlia!

My dahlia didn't open as quickly as expected but here are some photos of it opening and being nibbled....







I doubt it will fully open as it has been flattened by the weather today. I think it will end up in a vase this evening!

    Beautiful flower, I HATE earwigs though! Almost as much as japanese beetles.

    well gorgeous, my dahlias didn't get chance to say hello to the world before they were devoured by slugs! I am sure the slugs had belly ache by the end of the day! ;oO
