My sisters was Vogue 1102, a lovely simple pattern.
She chose 100% cotton curtain weight fabric in pink and wore a sticky out petticoat underneath.
Little e's dress is the one I blogged about here
I was so glad it still fitted her, I love it!
My dress was Butterick 5490
It looked like the pattern on the hanger but unfortunately my haste in making it last year, therefore no muslin, my large rib cage and a few too many cakes meant it was a little on the snug side.... I am assured it looked better in real life!
Excuse the grimace, the sun was in my eyes and I was struggling to breathe!! |
Last but not least, just so I don't leave them out, my boys in their kilts:)
Now to decide what to wear to the next one in a couple of weeks!
How fun! I think the vogue dress is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI love your dresses - how clever you are! I had this mad notion to make my daughter a dress for her upcoming mermaid party. Think it will look fine once it is completed, but my sewing is shameful!
ReplyDeleteYour boys look grand in their kilts too! xx
You are a talented dressmaker! They look great!
ReplyDeleteAll three dresses look lovely!
ReplyDeleteGreat dresses! and lovely photos too! Looking forward to see what you come up with for the next wedding! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking to a Round Tuit!
Hope you have a fabulous week!
