This was the first time I had done any beading and I won first prize for my efforts:)
I used this tutorial which was really simple to follow.
The only problem was I didn't have enough crystals so I used seed beads and the few remaining crystals to do the back of the bracelet then attached a button to close it.
This is gorgeous! I actually really like the seed beads to finish the back, I'd never have known it wan't intentional. I might have to go check out that tutorial and make myself one of these beauties =)
ReplyDeleteHi Alison.
ReplyDeleteYour bracelet is lovely. Well done for winning first pize. What else did you enter and did you win anything else?
Our show was last week and my daughter always enters the childrens section. Does your show have a childrens section?
Carolx
Thanks Carol! I entered lots of baking as well and got lots of seconds, plan to do a wee post about it once I take some photos! There is a childrens section but my two have not entered yet, they fancy doing a miniature garden next year though!

Minature gardens are fun. My daughter loves doing them. She sets a theme and works around that. This year it was a fairy garden and won.
DeleteI look forward to reading your post about your show. Well done.

Thanks! The tutorial is at http://bead-tutorial.livejournal.com/21246.html and I just added a loop to the end, threaded the seed beads on the individual strings and the crystals through both. Hope that makes sence!
