DIY Swarovski Bracelet

It was my local Horticultural and Industrial show today and, having a Kirsty Allsopp moment, I entered 8 things. One of those was a Swarovski bracelet I made last week.

This was the first time I had done any beading and I won first prize for my efforts:)

I used this tutorial which was really simple to follow.

The only problem was I didn't have enough crystals so I used seed beads and the few remaining crystals to do the back of the bracelet then attached a button to close it.

  1. This is gorgeous! I actually really like the seed beads to finish the back, I'd never have known it wan't intentional. I might have to go check out that tutorial and make myself one of these beauties =)

Our show was last week and my daughter always enters the childrens section. Does your show have a childrens section?

  3. Thanks Carol! I entered lots of baking as well and got lots of seconds, plan to do a wee post about it once I take some photos! There is a childrens section but my two have not entered yet, they fancy doing a miniature garden next year though!

    1. Minature gardens are fun. My daughter loves doing them. She sets a theme and works around that. This year it was a fairy garden and won.
I look forward to reading your post about your show. Well done.

    1. Thanks! The tutorial is at http://bead-tutorial.livejournal.com/21246.html and I just added a loop to the end, threaded the seed beads on the individual strings and the crystals through both. Hope that makes sence!
