Wedding Invitations

I delivered these special invitations to my friend today, how appropriate that she gets her wedding invitations on Valentine's Day, totally not planned!

I am so glad to have finished them, I hate having deadlines hanging over me!

The next invitation order I have is for my best friend from school who is getting married in September (and I am a bridesmaid!) This time the invites are her wedding pressie and are a lot simpler than these ones, phew!

The Wedding Fair!

I went for a simple table, I used some mini easles and some old books to add height and it looked good! The photos are not great as the lighting was very 'atmospheric'!!

I got 7 quote requests and loads of folk took my card so fingers crossed some orders are generated!

Busy Busy Busy

I think the best word to describe the past week in this house is chaos!
My normal week day now goes something like:

7am - Up
8am - Battle little e in to clothes
8.20am - walk to school to drop off Big E
9am - Home
9.15am and then repeated every 15 or so mins - "Is it nursery time yet?" said by little e
11.30am - lunch for little e
12.00pm - little e to nursery
12.30pm - run round crazy squeezing about a million things in a few hours
2.30pm - pick up little e
2.45pm - drop car at home and walk to school
3pm - pick up Big E
3.20pm - home and collapse in a heap!

Here was me thinking I would have more time when they were at nursery and school!!


I have managed to get some more wedding stationery made for the wedding fair on Sunday though:

All have matching Save the Date cards and Orders of Service, hopefully I now have a wide enough variety of styles to attract some orders!

Lots of fabric!

We brought an extra bag back from Florida which was about 50% full of this:

Fabric is so much cheaper in the US that it was hard to resist. The only thing that restrained me was that none of it was ethical so I didn't go mad as I try my best to only buy fair trade organic cotton. 

Little e will get a Snow White costume out of it (in fact I think I have bought enough fabric to make 2 costumes!) but the Royal Blue velvet looks distinctly purple in natural light...

It was strange to walk round Joann's and see all the products I read about on the blogs, I would have definitely brought some Mod Podge home if space allowed but no such luck!

Now to decide what to do with it all but I have 50 wedding invites to do for the middle of May so it may be a while before any sewing gets done!

Weddings Invitations

I am doing the stationary for a wedding in August and the time has come to do some invitation samples! I have done the save the date card already

I was really pleased with them , the bride wants simple elegance with a hint of pink and I think this fits the bill.

The bride chose the general design from other samples I have, hopefully she likes them as much in her colour scheme!

Sorry about the photos, taking them quickly while little e is having her TV fix (oh what a bad mother I am!).  Off to clean my camera lens now, can you see the smudges on the photos....nice!
