Chocolate Chip and Peanut Butter biscuits / cookies!

I made these last Saturday to take to a friend, they were good, possibly the best biscuits/cookies I have made!

This is how I made them, a mixture of a few recipes:

Ingredients:

125g butter
150g caster sugar
1 free range egg
0.5 tsp vanilla extract
175g plain flour
0.5 tsp baking powder
50g choc chips
50g crunchy peanut butter

Melt butter in pan
Stir in sugar
Beat egg and vanilla in bowl then stir into butter and sugar
Sift flour and baking powder and stir in
Stir in choc chips and peanut butter
Using a tablespoon measure, scoop the mix out of pan and plop on to tray
Stick in freezer for 5 mins
Cook at 190degC/375F/gas 5 for 10 mins or until just firm in the middle and lightly golden.
Leave to cool for a few mins before transferring on to rack.

Enjoy!

Cards galore!

It was Mother's Day in this part of the world yesterday so my spare moments last week were spent making cards.

I am really enjoying stamping again, I went off it for ages but now it has grown on me again! I did the top two cards using a tapestry set of stamps, then adding a wee bit of glitter.

There have also been a lot of birthday cards to make...Big E has been to 8 birthday parties in 2 months and I have been rattling off these cards for each party.

If the party has had a specific theme I changed some of the words to be party appropriate. The are nice and quick to make but personal at the same time, ticks all the boxes!

I doubt much will get done this week, little e has an ear infection and is miserable, not bad to get to 3.5 without one though!

Opinions please!

I have been working on a new logo for my wee stationery business,

what do you think (pics not great, not worked out how to save them better quality, they look great in word!)? Might even use it for the blog, who knows!

The Blue Room

Another room almost finished, phew!

Big E no longer has to share little e's pink room, he has a blue bedroom of his own! We have plans for a feature on one wall which includes space stickers but the stickers say to wait 3 weeks before applying to newly decorated surfaces, so wait we will!

This is how it was before:

Horrible carpet, dirty walls, cupboard that houses the water tank falling apart...

We lifted the carpet, insulated as much as we could under the floor, levelled the floor,

insulated the outside wall, built a new cupboard, removed the horrible fake beams from the ceiling,

plastered the ceiling and outside wall, repainted and got a new carpet.

Then we added all Big E's stuff...

and it is almost done, phew!

Now on to the living room with no ceiling....

p.s.  I should add, when I say 'we' did this and that I mainly mean husband when I am talking about the hard core DIY, I do the painting etc though!

Linking up to these fab parties!

A couple of cards

My Granny asked me to make two birthday cards for her sisters whose birthdays are later this month. That would have been fine if I had actually remembered more than half an hour before I was suppose to deliver them to her...These were very much rush jobs!

I like them though.

The 90 is stamped using a teeny heart flower stamp and I added the wee butterflies to break up the white. If I was to make it again I would make the card smaller and use fewer butterflies.

The other one is just a floral stamp, stamped as the background, and Happy Birthday printed out and stuck on with a wee bit of ribbon for embellishment.

All the inks are brilliance metallics, I love them!

We are almost finished Big E's room now so hopefully there will be some pics at the weekend once all his stuff is moved in! Little e is convinced she is moving with him though which could cause some upset...!
