Me Made May 2015 and April in Review

Two posts in one today, sorry!

First, it is the 1st, which means the start of Me Made May! I have pledged to wear at least one item of Me Made clothing a day for the whole of May. I started on a high wearing 2 Me Made items:

Being blinded by the sun!
Me Made:  Kirsten Kimono Top and Cardi (McCalls pattern, to be blogged soon!)

Also wearing: M&S Jeans and Vivobarefoot Jing Jing shoes.

I am not planning on doing a post every day for May but will do a roundup each Friday. I will post my outfits on Instagram daily so follow along if you like!

Now for a wee round up of April in my world...

Finished Objects:

Culottes x 2

Cropped Trousers
A Banksia:

Books Read:
Finished The Woman Who Stole My Life by Marian Keyes
Started 5th Horseman by James Patterson

Looks like it wasn't a month for reading!

Weight Lost & exercise:

0lb (well, +2lb at Easter then - 2lb since!)

I am on day 18 of the 30 day shred by Jillian Michaels (has there ever been a  more annoying woman...) and am noticing a difference in my muscle tone. In fact I can see a difference in the photo from today and the culottes photos which makes me happy. I am desperate to be fit and healthy. I want a healthy BMI and to be able to run away if someone is chasing me (normally a child with a water or nerff gun...) To help the latter I have started my couch to 5k runs again, I am no runner.

Mission for May:

Run without feeling like I am going to die and wear Me Made every day!

March in Review

I know this is a bit late but here is my review of March.

Finished Objects (all still to be blogged):

2 Lady Skater Dresses, one was a fail.

Another cord skirt, 3rd this year...

A Renfrew with cowl neck in random sparkly
jersey that I bought in a bundle on ebay.

1 Elsa Style Skirt for a birthday pressie.

It appears that blue was the colour of the month!

Books Read:

Finished 4th of July by James Patterson.

A book.... can't remember but I did read one between these two!
Summer and the Beach Street Bakery - Jenny Colgan
Started The Woman Who Stole My Life by Marian Keyes book
Started An Astronauts Guide to Life on Earth by Chris Hadfield

Weight Lost:

3lb, all in the last 10 days - being at Mum's bedside has been great for weight loss and rubbish for grey hairs :)

Mission for April:

Relax and eat chocolate! March was stressful - Mum underwent major surgery to remove cancer in her oesophagous. She spend a week completely out of it in ICU and a few days in a normal ward but got home yesterday and is recovering amazingly well, it really was Good Friday! April will be a month for walks with Mum and plotting where to go on a family holiday.

Weight Lost:

Worst Bits (before best bits to get them over with):

The emotional roller coaster that we continue to be on as a family.

Head lice - yuk!

Best Bits:

Big E's 9th Birthday celebrations

Sewing day at the Stitchery in Glasgow with fellow sewing bloggers (which I forgot to take photos of...)

Snow!

Watching as E, e and their wee cousin become more and more crazy about each other :)

Doing the 30 days of yoga series, I am a few behind but this has kept me sane in what has been a crazy month!
