Star Wars ATAT Cake

Me: Big E, what type of cake do you fancy for your birthday, how about an Angry Bird?

Big E: Hmmmmm, maybe

Husband: That is a bit easy, how about a Star Wars cake

Big E: Brilliant Idea, I want an ATAT cake

Me: What is that then? (my memory of the films was poor...)

Big E: A big robotic dog thing that walks and everything!

Me: Not sure I can do that...

Husband: Of course you can!!

So, for Big E's 6th birthday he got an ATAT Walker cake!

Husband made the legs and I detailed them and did the cake bit. It turned out a bit rough but they were dirty and bashed up in the films!

I'm in this film!!
For his party we put two indoor fireworks on the front...

Fussy but you can see enough :)

The kids loved it!

I dread to think what he might request next year...!

  1. My word, that's amazing!! Certainly not letting my Little One see it though, it might give her ideas!!!

  2. OMG, that is a fantabulous cake! I have been looking forward to you posting about your cake as I am in party-planning mode at the mo, but this has far exceeded my imaginings! The kids must have gone nuts for it - esp. with the fireworks! Well done, I am sooooo impressed x

  3. My husband would go nuts over this! I think he'd make me make every cake look like this-- it's awesome! I'd love it if you shared at my linky party...

  4. OH WOW!!! This is unbelievable! I'm going to put this on facebook to show it to more people - brilliant!!

  8. This is a really great cake, what 6 year old would not love this. Great!

    1. Thanks! I think it was the fireworks that sealed the deal!!

  9. Wow, that is a great cake! My kiddos are all Star Wars fans, and we've done some Star Wars cakes too the past few years. Never have taken on an AT-AT though! :) Great cake and a cute site (following now)! I look forward to looking around the site more. (I found you through Someday Crafts.)

  10. Wow! That is SOOO cool! Beats my yoda cake hands down. There is NO WAY I'm going to let my husband see this cake though as it would definitely be his request for next year!

  11. Shut. Up. That is SO amazing. My husband actually has an AT-AT in his (embarrassingly large) Star Wars collection - he would LOVE this! Brilliant.
